Hey! It's Katie Notopoulos and Ryan Broderick and we are insanely pumped for our first podcast. We've basically spent our entire adult lives shriveled up in front of a monitor under a pile of empty Mountain Dew cans, looking at bad websites, just waiting for the moment we could finally unleash this knowledge on the world (ok maybe not quite the Mountain Dew piles because we're actually pretty normal IRL, despite how much time we've spent on 4chan).

Belgian food blogger Yves Van De Ven has an inside joke with his friends where he tries to do super lame tourist photos at famous places around Europe.

It all started earlier this year when O'Brien, a 46-year-old from Liverpool, found himself all over the internet after someone mocked his dancing.

After the screenshot found its way onto Imgur, it started gaining considerable attention.

Three weeks ago, the first video of the class went up on YouTube, showing them recite the inappropriate 4chan slogan "OP is a faggot".

The event charged people $50 to attend.

In an elaborate fraud attempt, 4chan users attempted to scam women out of money by setting up "FemCon", a fake event for feminists.

The event, which described itself as an opportunity for people to "shape the future of women's rights", charged $50 for attendees.

However, on Sunday evening, Tumblr users realised the event had been created on 4chan.

A 4chan user wrote: "I think we should spread around on Tumblr that there is a feminist convention like dashcon. We rake in the money and the ones who put the most effort into this scam will get a cut of the money. Basically I'm going to set up a fake payment page and we will spread the money after the 'apparent date' of the con."

The teen drug panic that was started by a prankster on a messageboard.

Behold: the greatest trolling effort to make local news believe that teens were doing a new dangerous drug called "jenkem".

The year was 2007. Rickrolling was still a year away from invention, but fucking with people on the internet was, of course, eternal and ageless. It was during that heady time that the greatest fake drug hoax of all time made its way into the hearts of trolls and the minds of local police.

Jenkem isn't completely fake. The real version is tragic – a cheap high that street children in Zambia were using. In 1998 the New York Times mentioned it in a story about the plight of Zambian AIDS orphans. The drug is made by fermenting sewage in a bottle, trapping the gas that is emitted and huffing it.

"Pickwick", the kid who started the hoax, attempting to huff jenkem (it's not really jenkem, folks).

The hoax started with a user named "Pickwick" on the now-defunct messagebaord Totse.com (archived version here). Pickwick posted a bunch of photos of himself setting up a bottle of pee-and-poo-looking substances in the sun with a yellow balloon over it.

Ok today I set it up and put the bottle in the hot sun. My friend took pictures of the all of the steps. First I shit in the bottle, then pissed in it. I took a balloon and stretched it over the top to catch all of the gases. Now I will wait a few days and hope the balloon fills up.

A few more updates on the progress of the bottle ensued, and finally a follow up "trip report" describing the experience:

The person who hacked the girl’s account told BuzzFeed News he did it because he could. WARNING: This post contains graphic content.

On Monday, a 4chan user started this thread, asking the other members of the community what they thought he should do in his sister's room while she was at work.

One user suggested putting on his sister's underwear and posting a photo. The original poster of the thread then published a photo of a man wearing what appears to be women's underwear next to a note with the date written on it.

Then the original poster uploaded a photo of the underwear and a bra. A few minutes later, an anonymous user posted a photo they claimed was of the original poster's sister.

Users started celebrating the fact that they had unmasked the girl they believed owned the underwear from the first photo. Then they started matching up photos from that girl's Twitter account with details from the original photo.

Bryan Hamade, a 27-year-old from Georgia, told BuzzFeed his scheme to make some easy bitcoins backfired and that now he’s being harassed by 4chan users.

As the online hunt for the persons responsible for yesterday's massive celebrity nude photo leak continues, some redditors and security researchers have pointed to Bryan Hamade, a 27-year-old from Lawrenceville, Georgia, as the culprit.

According to a post that's circulating on the photo-sharing site Imgur, Hamade — who goes by the the username BluntMastermind — posted a screenshot of his computer to show off the leaked picture folder, accidentally exposing his hard drive and network drive. A few redditors then went through Hamade's previous Reddit posts and recognized the hard drive and PC name, outing Hamade as the one responsible for the original 4chan leaks.

Last night, 4chan contributed to the rumour mill by attempting to convince the internet that Doritos factory workers had caught Ebola.

But that didn't stop some 4chan users mocking up news stories and fake tweets from news organisations such as CNN and Fox claiming factory workers had tested positive for the deadly disease.

The rumour originated on 4chan’s /b/ thread, where users shared their poorly mocked up tweets and stories.

If there’s one thing the internet hates, it’s when people don’t tip well.

A video recently surfaced showing office workers having a disagreement with a pizza delivery guy.

A used car dealer in Massachusetts pays a pizza delivery guy $20 in one dollar bills on a $12 tab. The driver, thinking he received a decent tip, leaves only to have employees at the dealer call his manager and force him to return to pay them their change, sans any tip whatsoever.

Worse, they seem to think it's funny and posted it. Check the blowhard at the end threatening to call and have the guy fired.
